If you have already signed on to the Friends of Williamson Rock (FoWR) announcement list just wait for further instructions.
As we get organized and proceed through legal issues we will contact you with news, fundraising queries, letter writing, petition signing and or phone in campaigns.

IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE ACT AS A GROUP.
We are in the process of legal organization of a non-profit group ‘Friends of Williamson Rock’ (FoWR).

Friends of Williamson Rock (FoWR)

Mission Statement:

Committed to preserving climbing access and activity, as well as protecting the natural environment of the Williamson Rock area.

About FoWR:

FoWR is organizing as a non-profit group.
FoWR will be seeking funds for the legal organization of the group and for any other projects that need funding. FoWR will organize any fund raising efforts that are necessary.
FoWR is being formed to address and react to any access issues that may arise at Williamson Rock. FoWR will work in conjunction with the Access Fund, The Forest Service, USGS, Fish and Wildlife etc. toward solutions of present and future issues that may arise regarding climbing access and activity at Williamson Rock.
FoWR will organize, oversee and manage any service projects that may be done at Williamson Rock in cooperation with the Forest Service and any other agencies involved. This may include projects such as trail building, trail maintenance, Toilet installation / maintenance, clean-ups etc…
FoWR will be proactive in the education of wilderness ethics as they relate to the climbing community.
As a part of FoWR you may be called upon for donations of time, money, letter writing, petition signing, phone in campaigns etc…
